special events & Design Professional
(CSEP)

Based in Los Angeles, California, Calvin is a certified event professional and creative director behind Design Werq—where events, branding, and design come together to create one-of-a-kind experiences.

With over 12 years of experience in the industry, his work spans both intimate gatherings and large-scale productions, including weddings, corporate events, and immersive themed experiences.

His portfolio includes events hosted at notable venues such as the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel—home of the original Academy Awards—the Los Angeles Science Center, the Ronald Reagan Library, Malibu Winery, and private luxury settings. No two projects are ever approached the same—each is thoughtfully designed to reflect the vision, energy, and purpose behind it.

Known for his ability to blend creativity with structure, Calvin approaches every project with a balance of design, logistics, and storytelling—ensuring that each experience not only looks exceptional, but feels seamless from start to finish. It’s this level of intention and detail that defines the Werq behind every experience.

As a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), he brings a level of expertise and professionalism that allows clients to move forward with clarity and confidence—whether they are producing a fully developed event or refining a concept still taking shape.

He serves as the producer, planner, and pageant director of the annual Mr. Caribbean Island Continental Pageant in Curaçao—an international production that brings together talent from across the region and has been televised throughout multiple Caribbean islands.

Calvin takes a collaborative approach to every project—whether clients engage his team directly or bring him in alongside their own, he works seamlessly to ensure the vision is executed at the highest level.

Beyond event production, Calvin offers creative consulting for individuals and brands seeking direction in their ideas, branding, or overall experience design—helping transform early concepts into something intentional, elevated, and unforgettable.

Every detail is in the Werq.

“For me, it’s never just about the event—it’s about the memory it leaves behind. When brand and experience align, that’s the Werq.”
